Missing in action!!

Yep, I have been missing haven't I? I have been busy busy. I am trying to get my new business up and going. I printed up 250 flyers that "Bud" and I spent several hours putting into all of the neighborhood mailboxes. Did you know that you CANNOT do that?? Well I didn't. The mail person went around and took all of the flyers back out of those mailboxes. I even got a call from the post office telling me what a naughty girl I have been. They threw away over half of the flyers!
Mr. Mister and I were going to have a wine tasting event this Saturday at our house, but I have come down with a NASTY cold. I didn't think everyone would appreciate me spreading that around so we had to cancel. What do you do when life gets in your way? Try to stay positive and find a place that sells those plastic doorknob bags to put your flyers into. Anyone want to come walk the neighborhood with me again? LOL

Where does the time go?

Goodness I cannot believe the weekend is over already. The time change has me looking at the clock saying "I can't believe it's 8:30 at night ALREADY!" The weather was gorgeous both days. Mr. Mister and I even went for a walk around the neighborhood. It was nice to be able to walk outside. You could even hear the birds chirping!! YAY!! Spring is almost here. Saturday night I went with "J"(my upline for The Traveling Vineyard) to watch her demonstrate at a show. I feel much more comfortable now. I still have a lot to learn, but knowing that I can have the tasting notes with me helps A LOT!! I got to taste six of the wines that we offer and I totally loved the 2005 Meda Margherita Moscato D'Asti. It is what they call a frizzante. Which means it has some fizz to it. It was a sweet YUMMY wine. I will begin putting information in the neighborhood mailboxes this week. Hopefully, that will generate interest in people to book a party. Mr. Mister and I have discussed having a party here to start things off. It will be towards the end of the month.

I received my kit

The UPS man brought my kit!!! (I informed him that he is going to get tired to seeing me). Now I get to go through everything and learn what I need to know to start my business. I have been busy reading all of the training materials on my website. My printer is smoking from all the information I have been printing. I am attending a tasting this weekend to see how it's done. The ball is ROLLING. I will start booking events very soon.

New things!!

This past week has been full of exciting things. I joined a book club with "M" and some other girls. The first book I will be reading with them is "The Tenth Circle" by Jodi Picoult. I cannot wait for my first get together with them. We meet at a different restaurant each month and the only rule is that "they have to serve alcohol" HA HA.

"Brat Girl" and I started belly dancing classes on Tuesday. WHEW! I worked muscles I forgot I even had. It's a six week class and the instructor says we will be able to perform a whole choreographed dance by the end of those six weeks. Another big HA HA here!!!

The most exciting thing is that I signed up to be an independent wine consultant for "The Traveling Vineyard" I still have to go through training and receive my kit, but I think this is going to be SO FUN!! I will learn so much more about wine. I get to share what I learn with others by doing "In Home Wine Tastings". I bring five bottles of wine to them and they get to enjoy tasting it in the comfort of their own homes.
