Kicked Some Wii Bowling Butt!

HA! I totally kicked everyone's butt in Wii Bowling!

Ricardo had set the record but I beat it today while playing against Danielle. I bowled 245! Now don't ask me to do that in a real bowling alley! I usually bowl a 54 or something along those lines. LOL

Here I am in all my animated bowling glory! (Did you notice I am now classified as a "pro" bowler?)

We play down in the den where Rick has a large movie screen. I am a little blurry but definitely still a "HOTTIE" LOL

P.S. Those are supposed to be my hands hold the bowling ball. Good thing! I was beginning to think that my girl was in desperate need of a new bra, or some major surgery! ROFL

Arizona was BEAUTIFUL!

We're home from Arizona! We had a GREAT time! It was so much fun catching up with my brother and meeting everyone! We went to the Grand Canyon, Antelope Canyon, and Sedona. I took soooooo many pictures.

These pictures were taken while looking out the window of the airplane on the way to Phoenix. The clouds were BEAUTIFUL and FLUFFY! We did have someone on the plane that was passing some FUNK clouds. Not so beautiful and fluffy! HA HA!

Our first night there, we ate some delicious Italian food at Tutti Santi where Scott works. Before we even made it into the restaurant we were greeted by the owner and another employee. As we made it further into the restaurant Scott was hugged and greeted by everyone! The atmosphere was definitely as if your were visiting family. Rick and I, met a lot of really nice people (including Brian a.k.a "Ocho" who is in the picture below). After dinner we walked next door to have a few drinks at Gallagher's where Kristin works. It was Karioke night and there were a lot of people drinking and "trying" to sing. After Scott and Brian had a few drinks in them, they both sang karioke. I cannot remember what song Brian sang but, Scott sang "Kiss" by Prince. They both sounded pretty darn good! Scott and Brian are HILARIOUS when you get them together. It's like they are totally in-sync with each other and play off of what the other person is saying or doing. They had us laughing so hard our cheeks hurt! See Scott's silly grin below! He had that grin on his face during most of the trip! (Except for the times we were driving in the car for hours trying to see everything Arizona had to offer in only three days! LOL)

The next morning we were on our way to the Grand Canyon. When we got there it was really hazy. The pictures are not real clear because of that. But it did make for some cool looking silhouettes of the canyons.

We stayed so long the sun started to go down! We had to scadoodle because everyone was starving, and we still had another two hours of driving until we arrived in Page.

While in Page, Rick and I went on the Roger Ekis photography tour of Antelope Canyon. The canyons were AWESOME! As we were leaving it started to rain. It rained for several hours while we all just relaxed around the hotel.

Last stop..........Sedona! It was absolutely GORGEOUS!

What Kind Of Wine Are You?

Obviously, I couldn't pass this one up! I don't know if it really fits my personality but I'm going with it. LOL

You Are Chardonnay

Fresh, spirited, and classic - you have many facets to your personality.
You can be sweet and light. Or deep and complex.
You have a little bit of something to offer everyone... no wonder you're so popular.
Approachable and never smug, you are easy to get to know (and love!).

Deep down you are: Dependable and modest

Your partying style: Understated and polite

Your company is enjoyed best with: Cold or wild meat

I'm Getting A Gorilla!

I am getting a new gorilla! Awwwwwww! Isn't he cute?

Wait a minute! That's not my new gorilla! That gorilla was at the zoo in Albuquerque, New Mexico! Where did my gorilla go?

WHEW! Here it is!

Awwwwwww! Isn't he cute? LOL

Actually, this is the new tripod I am getting for my camera. Isn't it the COOLEST?

NO! You can't have mine! Get your own Gorillapod!

P.S. All pictures of the Gorillapod were taken from the Joby website.

My Day Off

The day is going by fast, and I haven't accomplished much. I did manage to make it to the commissary so that I could spend way too much money on groceries. I now have a chicken casserole in the oven, two loaves of bread rising so that they can be baked, and the salad will be thrown together in a snap. A few loads of laundry have made it down the stairs and into the washing machine. Two kitty boxes have been changed! AND now, I am getting everything ready for the wine tasting event I have tomorrow night. Why isn't my to do list getting any shorter?

Pere Marquette!

Rick and I decided to get in the truck and wander around yesterday. Pere Marquette State Park is the place we ended up at. Both of us had cameras, and took a TON of pictures. Rick took some black & white pictures and I cannot wait to see how they turned out. (They have to be developed)

Here are some of mine:

Summerfest!

We went to "Summerfest" in Belleville last night, and had so much fun!

We danced to some GREAT Reggae music. The band is call Jah Roots. We even purchased their cd to add to our growing collection.

There were some Brazilian dancers there. I LOVE how colorful their costumes were! Of course, the guys all LOVED how short her skirt was!

And a real live fire breathing dragon! Check him out! (His name is Tommy Riddle and he calls himself the "Superfly Fire Guy").

But, I have to say that the guys performing extreme stunts on motorcycles took home the "Kathy is Impressed" prize! (Won't they be overjoyed to know that? LOL) They were part of a group called Streetfighterz and they blew us away!

This is Dan Farley. Ricardo made this cool collage using three of the pictures I took.

This is Guru.

What Dessert Are You Most Like?

Not too sure about the results. But HEY! I'm a brownie! Do I get a cute little outfit to go with it? Maybe, we can all sit around the campfire together and sing some songs?

You Are a Brownie

Decadent and intense, you aren't for the weakhearted.
Those who can deal with your strong flavor find out how sweet you really are.
What Dessert Are You Most Like?

How about some randomness for you?

Betcha didn't know that I am a toothpaste GEEK! I am totally addicted to Mentadent Advanced Whitening toothpaste! I actually brushed my teeth twice this morning because I LOVE all of those little oxygen bubbles that turn into a wonderful, foamy, frothy, butt kickin', cleaning machine in my mouth! I can keep brushing for days! HEY! It's just foam! There are worse things I could be addicted to! Right? We have used this toothpaste for years, and I refuse to use anything else!

A couple of years ago they came out with Mentadent One that was in a tube. I bought some of it because I was traveling and it was easier to pack. OOOO MY! It had micro cleansing crystals that really made me feel like I was showing those pesky germs and thing or two! I was scrubbing them into oblivion!

Unfortunately, they stopped making it! I think we should all picket or something! BRING BACK THE MENTADENT ONE!

Yep! I am a nut case! But I have clean teeth! ROFL!

Happy 4th Of July!

In honor of the 4th, I wanted to post some pictures of this eagle. They were taken at the zoo in Albuquerque, New Mexico. If I was remotely talented with Adobe Photoshop I would put some cool red, white, & blue background behind them.

Menus

After talking with Rick, we have decided that we are going back to using menus for dinner. We have been eating out WAY TOO MUCH! I used to make up menus all the time. It made it easier for us when we went shopping for groceries, and I didn't have to hear "What's for dinner?" all the time! I could just say "Look at the Menu!"

It's great because each night I can glance at the menu for the next day and figure out what needs to be taken out of the freezer. In the morning, I can throw everything into the crock pot, walk out the door for work, and come home later to a house that smells "DEVINE!" If I am feeling really rambunctious I can pull out some frozen loaves of bread and let them rise all day so that we have warm bread to go with our "home cooked meal." (I wore my bread machine out and need to buy another one)

Who knows...I may become so domesticated that Rick will come home one day and I will be wearing one of these cute "little" aprons.

Ummmmmmmmm.........I think NOT! (But if you want to wear one you can find them here I actually saw them posted on Nitty Gritty's blog.

So, with all my aspirations of being the next Rachael Ray, I have begun searching the web for some delicious new recipes to try. We have become huge "baked potato soup" fans and I am on the hunt for the perfect recipe. We want it to taste like the soup from St. Louis Bread Company (Panera). I have also fallen in love with the sourdough croutons from Cracker Barrel and have found some great recipes for making my own.

The "Taste Of Home" magazine I purchased at the store today looks like it has some VERY yummy recipes in it as well.

I am inspired (at the moment....LOL) and looking forward to eating at home. My kids tease me all the time about our dining room table only being for "looks" and not something we actually sit down to eat at. Who knows, I might buy some pretty new dishes, candles, and a bottle or two of wine, with all the money we will be saving by not eating out.
