Home On The Range!

OK! OK! It's not really on that kind of a range! No cows mooing! No horses galloping! But it has pretty green grass for them to graze on if they wanted to! It's the driving range!

Mr. Mister wanted to go hit a bucket or two of balls today, and since he couldn't find anyone else to go with him, he told me I HAD to go! LOL! So, I did what any good scrapbooker would do! I grabbed the camera!

Here he is, in all of his ball hitting glory!

There are no pictures to prove it, but I even hit a few! Some even made it past the 100 yard sign! WOW! Move over Tiger, I'm going pro! (Don't tell Mr. Mister I said this, because I SWORE I would NEVER play golf! But it was actually FUN! Especially, the times I swung and totally MISSED the ball! There we were, staring off into space, searching for the ball, waiting for it to land, only to finally look down and see that it's still sitting on the tee! ROFLMBO!!)

Wild Hair!

OK! I woke up yesterday with a wild hair! I decided that I needed to get my life organized, and all that great stuff! I was on a roll, thinking up things, so I pulled out a notebook and pen and began writing down everything I wanted to start working on. Let me tell you, the list just kept growing and growing and growing! (Sounds like the Energizer Bunny doesn't it!) ROFL!

I then hopped back over to the Flylady Mentors Yahoo Group and signed up to receive the daily emails AGAIN! This is like the millionth time I have signed up! LOL I do really well for a while, and then I start slackin' and deleting all of the emails without reading them! YEP! I'm a TOTAL SLACKER and have fallen off the band wagon more times than I care to remember! LOL

Flylady also has a regular website! Go HERE to check it out! Her program really does work, IF you do it! LOL!

Well, this wild hair also led me to want to start walking again. So, Brat Girl and I got up at 7:00 this morning. We were feeling wild and crazy and decided to walk from our house, to the local park, around the one mile loop once, and then back home! EVERYBODY say it with me! "STUPID! STUPID! STUPID KATHY!" ROFL! It took us two hours and twenty minutes to do it! I have blisters on me feet! I can barely walk! AND my legs feel like wet noodles!

We had big plans of doing that several times a week! HA! We'll see how that goes!

OK! I'm off to start the laundry! It's going to take me at least thirty minutes to get down to the basement! LOL!

Goodmorning!

I have so much to do today! Mr. Mister's mother is coming into town tonight. So, I need to do all of the fun stuff, like run to the grocery store, (after I figure out what we are having for dinner) straighten up the house, and... and.... and.... (well you get the picture! LOL) I also have to shuffle everything around in my "studio" because that is where she will be sleeping, since our guest room is still being occupied.

Why is it? That every time you have something else to do, that is when the creative urge srikes? Now that I have to move a mammoth pile of boxes in my studio, which will leave me with no place to work on anything, my mind is saying YO! Kathy! Go upstairs and play with all that new stuff you just got!

It always happens that way! And it will probably be a while before I get to play because, then I will have to move everything out of the way again after she leaves. LOL! I need to find homes for the stuff in all of those boxes, but I don't have enough room for all of it.

They are calling for a 60% chance of thunderstorms again today! But the rest of Memorial Day Weekend is looking pretty good! Mr. Mister is already talking about what we will be BBQing. LOL! He is so thrilled that I will actually be home for the holiday. And we are already making plans to drive to Tennessee for the 4th of July. It's so nice to have holidays off now!

I am one happy girl, now that I am able to stay at home! YEP! Happy & LUCKY! Thanks Mr. Mister! SMOOCHES!

42 Years Old!

It's hard to believe that I turned 42 years old today! In some ways it feels so old, and in other ways, still quite young. We'll just go with the young part of that equation! OK? LOL

It was a really good day! Mr. Mister flew back home yesterday, so that he could spend the day with me. (Unfortunately, he flies back out tomorrow!)

The sun was SHINING! It actually got up to approximately 80 degrees today. It was absolutely beautiful!

Mr. Mister took me out to eat, and to several scrapbook stores. It's so fun to see what everyone has to offer. All of the stores have different things. I had some gift certificates, so I bought inserts that fit inside some of my plastic containers to organize embellishments and other goodies.

I also bought a set of acrylic stamps with monkeys on them. (Everyone knows that monkeys are the IN thing right now! LOL) Stampendous has come out with LOTS of really CUTE monkey stamps! This one is called "Changito Dos". Of course, I want all of them!

And Stacy Julian's new book called Photo Freedom. (I cannot wait to sink into that one.)

I had also been wanting to try Tim Holtz's Adirondack Alcohol Inks, but kept putting them back whenever I went shopping, (believe me, I talk myself out of more stuff than I buy most of the time) But today, I said "what the heck" and threw them into my basket, along with a multi-pack of velvet flock by Doodlebug. (That's what gift certificates are for! Right?) Now, I have so much new stuff to play with, I don't know where I want to begin! LOL

Mr. Mister also bought me a new printer because my other one stopped printing photographs. I don't know what happened to it. It just wouldn't take photo paper anymore.

My kids were out and about all day. "Brat Girl" had to work, and "Bud" was at one of his friends graduation. But, they both took time out of their days to give me a quick call, and wish me Happy Birthday! Because "Brat Girl" had to work, she baked me a cake, and gave me my gift yesterday. It was a bread machine! I had just told her at lunch that I was planning on buying a new one because my other one had died and gone to bread machine heaven a few years ago. Later, she snuck out to the store, and bought one for me! How cool is that?

I blew it when I told "Bud" that the colored pencils I needed were the watercolor Prisma pencils. What I really needed were the regular colored pencils. Unfortunately, he had misplaced his receipt and Hobby Lobby would only give him in-store credit for the last SALE price on the pencils! Which I am NOT happy about, since the pencils were NOT on sale when he purchased them. So, he has decided he will keep the watercolor pencils and is going to buy me a new set on payday. I told him not to do that, because it was my fault, but he said he wants to. So, I will be getting my REGULAR Prisma colored pencils then. He is upgrading to the larger set, since he is combining my Mother's Day and Birthday gift together! (Again, I tried to talk him out of this, but he wouldn't listen to me!)

I KNOW!!!! I am one incredibly spoiled girl! But, I sure do smell good wearing my new GLOW by J.LO perfume my mother bought for me! ROFL!

The Host - by Stephenie Meyer!

Well! Stephenie Meyer has done it again! She has written another GREAT book!

Brat girl and I, went to the bookstore yesterday, and I bought her new book. Twenty four hours later I am on page 475 out of 619, and don't want to put it down! I always hate it when her books end!

So, all of you Stephenie Meyer addicts (LOL) hop in the car, and head to your local bookstore! You won't regret it!

P.S. Don't forget that the fourth and final (wrenching sobs coming from my body) book for the Twilight series, Breaking Dawn, comes out on August 2nd! YAY!

Sunshine?

Where is the SUNSHINE?

I need it! I CRAVE it! As you can see I have resorted to changing my banner, showing flowers bathed in sunlight! LOL I took the tulip pictures while I was visiting WARM, SUNNY, Arizona!

It has been raining/storming A LOT here. There is finally a break, but they are calling for more tonight and tomorrow.

I do hear birds singing though, and that is a WONDERFUL thing!

So, I am going to turn off the television, open the windows, and enjoy the sounds of nature.

I hope the birds are singing today, where you live! If not, then here is one of my FAVORITE birds singing for you! The video is blurry, but the sound is GREAT!

I hope that everyone has a wonderful Mother's Day!

I will be finishing up my Harry Potter marathon!

This morning my daughter and son came into the bedroom with the "traditional" desert dish filled with all kinds of cut up fruit and whipped cream on top! This is SO SO YUMMY!

Then, they proceeded to spoil me rotten! ROTTEN I SAY!

Mr. Mister bought me a pond! It will be going in next to our deck. I cannot wait to see it! (And hear it!)

My daughter gave me some wonderful Ghirardelli dark chocolates (I LOVE dark chocolate!) and ordered the Scor-Pal I have been wanting!

I'm sure it will bring me hours of fun and creativity!

And my son gave me Prisma Colored Pencils, that I have also been asking for, so that I can do the "Magic Colored Pencil Technique" with my rubber stamps:

I know! I know! So many projects! So MUCH time! ROFL!

Taking It Easy!

This afternoon, I decided to take it easy and have a Harry Potter marathon!

Unfortunately, I only made it through the first two movies because I kept falling asleep. (I forgot how long those movies are!) So, I will continue the marathon tomorrow!

Prom Night!

OK! OK! I've been getting hollered at because I haven't posted any pictures of my son with his "date" for the prom. Like I mentioned before, he went with a friend. And this picture is SO them! LOL!

I actually didn't get very many pictures, because they were in a hurry. But, I did manage one "normal" picture of them together. All the rest of them resembled the picture above! LOL!

And here he is with his other friends! See what I mean? Trying to get a descent picture just wasn't going to happen with them that night! LOL! But I think this is really cute!

So, there you have it! Prom night pictures!

National Scrapbooking Day!

Today is National Scrapbooking Day! So to all you scrappers out there! Happy NDS!

What will I be doing to celebrate the day?

Ummmmmm.....hmmmmmm.....well.....YEAH! I will be doing something! I am not sure what, but something!

Maybe, I'll take a quick trip to the store, and check out what everyone else is doing! Which will cause me to spend money, that I REALLY don't need to be doing, because I have WAY too much stuff already! But hey! It's NSD! You gotta buy "something" because there will be SALES!

Today is prom for our local high school. My son is going with one of his friends. We picked up his tuxedo on Thursday, and I took him out for a "photo shoot." He looks SO handsome! If I do say so myself! LOL (Well, he says so too! LOL! In his words, as he's staring at himself in the mirror! "Man, it can't get any better than this! LOL"

I think he's right! He's one handsome kid! (But, don't tell him I said so, because he's already got a HUGE ego! LOL)

P.S. I touched up these photographs using Pioneer Woman's Actions! They are AWESOME!
